”I sleep with multiple men to survive”- Unposted Nurse reveals on Live TV

Yes, Ghana is challenging. The economy is struggling. In actuality, nothing is operating as it should. There are intermittent demonstrations during the strike by teachers. Ghana as we once knew it no longer exists.

Despite the country’s terrible economic distress, nurses are not exempt. Since 2019, several newly graduated nurses have remained at home without being posted, which is quite challenging for them. Some of these nurses make it by doing a variety of tasks they would never choose.

A 2019 second batch unposted nurse named Linda sobbed openly on Onua TV about the struggles she and her fellow nurses are facing as a result of not getting hired by stations for 4 years.

After the host, Captain Smart, enquired further about how she managed to feed herself, Lydia, one of the three nurses who appeared on television, broke down in tears and revealed her means of surviving for the previous years.

Lydia shockingly admitted that she has turned to prostitution. She told the host that she sleeps with several men because it is difficult to make ends meet at home and because it is a “easy” way to make some money.

The nurse went on to talk more about the refusals she encountered when she attempted to approach the Ministry to find out why they hadn’t yet been posted.
