Detective Chief Inspector Divina Worlanya Afenu, a police officer from Tema Katamanso, has become embroiled in a major issue that could jeopardize her career.
According to the Daily Guide, a policewoman assigned to the Katamanso Police Station’s Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) has been accused of kidnapping a complainant’s husband.
The complainant, a 42-year-old trader named Mary Agbenu Edorla, had a case at the station, according to the article, which is quickly garnering popularity on social media.

She had to enlist her three-year-old spouse, Stephen Tengey, as part of the investigation, and therefore introduced him to Inspector Afenu.
The police officer kept phoning her husband after they settled the issue of their house help fleeing away from their home. When she questioned her husband about the calls, he said they were for the lawsuit.
The enraged wife bought the excuses until she discovered that Inspector Afenu had been sending her husband nude images.
She challenged the officer, who denied having an affair, until she saw her husband leave the Afenu’s house the next morning after spending the night there.

Edorla claimed that her husband assaulted her the morning after she caught him leaving Afenu’s house.
“I initially reported the matter to some senior police officers at the station where the woman works, but they did nothing, so personally, I reported the case to Chief Superintendent Adu, the Divisional Commander,” she is reported to have said.
According to the report, Chief Supt Kwadwo Badu-Adu acknowledged the claimed assault on the wife was reported, and the matter of husband snatching was discovered during his interrogation.
