Today, December 21, 2022, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) communications director, got married in a little ceremony.
You may remember that Sammy Gyamfi stated in a previous interview that he would be married in 2021 following the party’s victory in the election held in December 2020.
He referred to the nuptials as a victory wedding since he had thought the NDC would triumph in the elections in December 2020.
But both his hopes and his marriage plans were crushed.

Nevertheless, stunning images of the lawmaker and his longtime partner Irene Amankwaa Karikari at their traditional wedding have flooded the internet.
The National Delegates’ Congress of the NDC, according to the information received, caused the marriage to be postponed from its original date of late September.
The newest couple in town looked radiant as they exchanged vows in front of loved ones, close friends, and some NDC veterans.
Among the notable attendees were the former president John Dramani Mahama and his running mate Professor Nana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the former chief of staff Valerie Sawyerr, the former national chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofusu Ampofo, the current national chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and the astute lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata.
Little is known about his wife, however it is believed that she ran for the NDC’s position of Deputy Women’s Organizer in the Sunyani West constituency.
