Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong on stage

After years of feuding, veteran highlife musicians, Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong are now performing on stage together.

The two buddies, Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong, have been at odds for a few years now. The two were rumored to have engaged in conflict through their music and way of life.

For the first time in many years, the two veterans were seen on stage together at the musical production known as “The Legends Night.”

Charles Kwadwo Fosu, better known by his stage name Daddy Lumba, paid tribute to former bandmate and buddy Nana Acheampong during their performance at the Legends Night at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

He claims that Nana Acheampong helped launch his career and introduced him to the Highlife genre.

“Before I met Nana Acheampong, who introduced me to Highlife, I was doing Gospel when I moved to Germany. I owe him a lot because he has been really important to my musical career, the singer stated.

They were part of a group called the Lumba Brothers up until their disagreement.

Finances prevented the duo from releasing their record in 1986, despite their plans. With the aid of Lumba’s wife, Akosua Serwaa, who produced the album, it was eventually released in 1989. The album’s name is Yy Aka Akwantuo Mu.
