While it is advised to brush teeth both in the morning and the evening, Emmanuel Agana Ayamga, a medical professional with the Bongo District Hospital, has stated that brushing teeth in the evening is more crucial than doing so in the morning.

A highly skilled physician assistant named Emmanuel Agana Ayamga clarified that brushing in the evenings is more beneficial in lowering the risk of bacterial growth on teeth, which can result in tooth decay, because there is less oral activity during that time.

In an interview about the importance of maintaining dental health, he disclosed this to A1 Radio, based in Bolgatanga.

He said: “By diligently brushing before bedtime, people can mitigate the risks associated with bacterial growth and decay, consequently safeguarding their oral well-being. This period allows for a more focused and meticulous removal of food particles and plaque, which will prevent the accumulation of these particles overnight.”

Dentists recommend brushing teeth at least twice a day, but many people only brush in the morning and sometimes in the evening before going to bed.

Emmanuel Agana Ayamga wants people to stop brushing their teeth just before bedtime without much thought.

It is better for the stressed person to brush in the evening rather than the morning.
