American rapper and YMCMB CEO Lil Wanye was christened Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. and goes by several alias including Lil Tunechi, Shrimp Daddy, etc.

The award winning rapper was born on Sep. 27, 1982 and hails from Hollygrove, New Orleans, Louisiana.

One need not introduce Lil Wayne. He started rapping at the young age of nine, and since then, he has become one of the most successful emcees of all time.

He recently overtook Elvis Presley as the male artist with the most entries on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

The former Hot Boy / B.G. has worked with a wide range of artists over the course of his illustrious 19-year career, including The Game, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Asher Roth, will.i.am, Hit-Boy, Bow Wow, Missy Elliot, Mac Miller, The Roots, Chance The Rapper, Tech N9ne, Juvenile, Ludacris, Cassidy, Fabolous, Curren$y, Bun B, Mystikal, Bun B, Rick Ross, Nelly, Cam’ron, Rick Ross, T.I., T-Pain, and many more.

He recently struck a sponsorship agreement with the Parisian watch and accessory firm wize&ope and released his Dedication 5 mixtape.

In addition to working on Tha Carter V, he is still growing his label, Young Money Entertainment, which represents a number of artists including Drake, DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Lil Twist, and Tyga.

But he’s sworn to retire from music at age 35, and has since done that despite featuring on songs of other musicians. It remains to be seen if he would stick to the assertion.
