Okyeame Kwame, a musician from Ghana, is adamant that beating kids to discipline them physically is violent and opposes such practices.

Okyeame Kwame, a father of two, has never punished his kids physically for their transgressions. He can still successfully rectify their actions and point them in the proper direction despite this.

He explained how he handles his kids’ misbehaviour in an interview on Joy Prime’s morning show.

“I don’t beat my children. I consider it the most barbaric thing a human being can do. It is violent,” he expressed firmly. However, Okyeame Kwame emphasizes that pampering is not a part of their upbringing either. Instead, he employs his own method of training, which he refers to as the “role modalism strategy.”

According to him, this technique works wonders because children tend to mimic the behavior of older individuals. He explained, “I utilize the concept of mirror neurons through role modalism. Whatever I want my children to do, I lead by example. If I want my children to respect women, I demonstrate respect toward my wife. If I want them to adopt healthy eating habits, I embrace a healthy lifestyle myself.”

Okyeame Kwame detests both the act of yelling at children and the use of corporal punishment.

He prefers to give his kids the freedom to live their own lives and grow into independent adults.

In addition to respecting their privacy, he gives them the room they require to develop their own personalities.

Okyeame Kwame claims he works hard to give his kids a nurturing and respectful environment so they can flourish.

The usage of corporal punishment in Ghana’s educational system has been reviewed and is being reconsidered, which is something he also praised.
