Alejandro Garnacho went from a promising young player to playing for Argentina and scoring his first goal for Manchester United in just two years.
The young player scored his first goal for Manchester United against Real Sociedad in the Europa League. Cristiano Ronaldo set him up with a pass.
It’s a great time for the young winger, who is being hailed as a future world-beater for Man Utd.
The fast 18-year-old left winger was added to Lionel Scaloni’s 44-person squad out of the blue before World Cup qualifying games against Venezuela and Ecuador in March.
It means that he has trained with Lionel Messi, even though he hasn’t played on the first team yet.
The young star has been great for United’s U18 team this season. He scored four goals in the FA Youth Cup, which is a big deal.
One of those goals came when the talented player ran from his own half all the way down the left flank and scored against Everton.
And now, after coming on as a late substitute for United in the Premier League at the end of April, he is making a name for himself in the first team.
The quick forward came from Atletico Madrid. He was the third young La Liga star to join the club in 2020, after Marc Jurado from Barcelona and Alvaro Fernandez from Real Madrid.

Garnacho was called the “jewel” of Atletico’s youth program, and as he grew up, he worked hard to be like his idol.
He idolizes Cristiano Ronaldo and even wore the same shirt number, No. 7, as his hero, but now plays for the Red Devils and has to settle for No. 49.
Still, that didn’t stop him from doing his famous “SIUUU!” roar when he scored against Everton.
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund were also interested in Garnacho, but it was said that the Red Devils beat them out to sign him.
The Madrid-born teenager was highly regarded by Atletico, who were devastated when he left. He was called a “goal-scoring machine.”
