US-based Ghanaian escapes death after being caught with alleged gay partner at Nima

Amen Adams, a Ghanaian living in the United States, had hoped to spend his holidays peacefully and with family in Ghana.

Instead, he was chased out of his neighborhood in Nima, Accra, after allegedly being discovered in the act with an alleged gay lover.

Adams, who was returning home for the first time in more than 5 years, was unaware that his own boyhood pals had already spread false information about his sexual orientation across the neighborhood.

Homosexuality is detested and frowned upon in a strict Muslim-dominated culture, with serious repercussions for violators.

The youngsters in the neighborhood kept a close eye on Adams when he first arrived in Ghana a few months ago, so when a male buddy paid him a visit one day, they were watched up until he took the visitor home and to his room.

The angry teenager who had been watching Adams and his friend, however, stormed his house after being unsatisfied and claimed that his visitor was his gay boyfriend. Others stated they witnessed the two males making intimate advances toward one another.

Adams avoided being killed in the ensuing struggle by fleeing for his life, and he hasn’t been back to his home or the neighborhood since.

However, luck was not on the side of his supposed accomplice, who didn’t know the neighborhood well enough to also flee; instead, he was captured, beaten like a robber, and had his clothes pulled to pieces before being released when he could hardly walk.

Adams is either hiding in a hotel or has returned to the United States, according to a source close to his family, because of fear that he might never return to his hometown again.
