About two weeks ago, Kumawood actor and football club owner Yaw Dabo made news for his infamous remarks, which many Ghanaians would find difficult to forget.
Yaw Dabo asserted that it is completely ludicrous for someone to squander more time watching movies than an hour in an interview with Saddick Adams.
According to Yaw Dabo, if you watch movies for more than an hour, you are aimless and will always be poor.

Many social media users threatened to boycott his movies and football team after his comments went viral on the platform.
Yaw Dabo quickly issued an apology to Ghanaians through the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG).
As a result of the harsh criticism he received, Yaw Dabo has since apologized publicly and expressed regret for any harm his words may have caused.
Yaw Dabo apologized for his statements and claimed that he didn’t mean any damage in a recent interview.

He clarified that his goal was just to motivate people to use their free time profitably.
Fortunately for him, moviegoers have accepted his apologies warmly, expressing their regret and urging the Ghanaians to get over the incident.
