A 28-year-old man has been remanded in police prison by a magistrate court in Prestea, Western Region, for allegedly killing a Nigerian commercial sex worker for refusing to offer her service for a cost of GHC 10.

On the night of April 6, the suspect, Hakeem Mumumi, allegedly shot Promise, a Nigerian commercial sex worker in the thigh and fled after she refused to work for GHC 10 instead of GHC 30.

Chief inspector Samuel Ghartey, prosecuting, informed the court presided over by His Worship Gordon Kpogi that the defendant had attacked his first victim, a Ghanaian woman named Aisha, on the night of April 5 at the same location where he attacked the Nigerian the next day.
