Captain Smart, anchor of the morning show on Onua TV, claimed that his daily prayer is for Ghanaian lawmakers to pass away.
On Thursday, September 28, 2022, he made this declaration during the Peoples Assembly, which Onua FM had planned in Kumasi.
According to Captain Smart, Ghana’s various constituencies only experience infrastructure improvement when their MPs are ousted.

He stated that anytime a member of parliament passes away, a by-election is called, and the current administration does all in its power to ensure that its party wins.
Because of the by-election, according to Captain Smart, the government immediately gave infrastructure development in the district top priority.
According to the Fire Brand radio and television broadcaster, constituencies rarely experience infrastructure improvement absent a by-election, thus he desires more MPs to pass away to encourage more by-elections in Ghana.
