According to Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur, even if the music industry is a “wonderful business,” it is full with egotistical individuals who pose as friends but are really adversaries.
This was mentioned by the BET-recognized performer during an episode of Metro TV’s Entertainment Review in Accra.
Although he acknowledged that the local music scene is “a solid industry,” he issued a warning that “there are just a lot of vultures in there.” A lot of people fake things. People will snake-bite you if they have the slightest opportunity.
Even those you trust, he said. You must exercise extreme caution and ensure that the persons working for you are sincere in their intentions. Another issue the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker emphasized was bad contracts.

In his perforated white shirt, he said, “You signing poor deals, dreadful deals [with] people you think are truly for you but they are really in it for themselves.” In the industry, there is a lot of that.
If he had ever been a victim of such a deal in his career, the host Dessy Fayden questioned.
He said, “Oh yeah,” but there was some hesitancy in his voice.

Kwesi Arthur tweeted on August 2, 2022, that he was engaged in a dispute with the record label Ground Up Chale. It is the rap group he first gained notoriety with, which also features Kofi Mole and Quamina MP.
