Dr. Adu Boateng, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Endpoint Homeopathic Clinic, has refuted the myth that sex causes men to have strokes.

There is a popular belief in Ghana that males who stand and have sex with women also known as Doggy style are more likely to have strokes.

As a result, several men have resolved to exclusively have sex in their beds in order to avoid stroke.

Dr. Adu Boateng, speaking on Accra’s OKAY FM, stated that the public’s opinion is incorrect.

He claims that sex, particularly when performed while standing, does not induce stroke.

He speculated that the person who is doing the act may have brittle nerves.

“Standing and having sex can’t give you stroke. If you get stroke through sex then the cause of the disease has been with you. It could be that the person has weak nerves which have broken down and you are engaged in a strenuous exercise like sex”, he said.
