Ghana Tourism has published its 2023 report, which lists the most popular tourist destinations in Ghana.
Over time, the nation in West Africa has grown to be a popular travel destination for tourists from all over the world.
1,157,632 visitors investigated these attractions, according to the report.
The recently refurbished Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park was the most visited tourist destination.
Even though Memorial Park opened in July 2023, it attracted 208,577 visitors.
166,884 visitors to the National Museum placed it in second place.
The Central Region of Ghana’s Kakum National Park, with 159,271 visits, comes in second.
The Kumasi Zoo is another location that saw a lot of traffic. With 142,518, the zoo comes in fourth on the list.
With 101,134 visits overall, the Cape Coast Castle ranked as the fifth most popular site.
With 93,719 visits, Aburi Botanical Gardens ranked sixth in 2023, while Elimina Castle came in seventh with 78,870 visits.
With 78,203 visitors, the ecotourism destination Bunso Arboretum ranked eighth, and with 71,137 visits, the Accra Zoo ranked ninth.
Manhyia Palace Museum was the tenth most visited site with 57,319 visits.
