He later apologized for his remarks, but he was arrested on January 11, 2020, and released on bond on January 14, 2020.

Mr. Hanson was accused of disrespectful behavior and public disturbances.

He had earlier refuted the accusation, and the court had previously granted him a GH70,000 bond.

The entertainment critic and artist manager defended himself by claiming that he never meant to threaten the President or disturb the peace.

Instead, he said that he sought to compel the President to act in the best interests of Menzgold’s consumers.

But after a two-year trial, he was found guilty today, January 10, 2023.

According to the Evelyn Asamoah-presiding court, Bulldog would spend 40 days in jail if the Ghc48,000 is not paid.

Due to the seriousness of Bulldog’s comments and the gravity of her sentencing, the judge was of the considered judgment that Bulldog could not have intended to appeal to the President’s conscience.

The judge ruled that it was evident from the statement’s threat to the President that it was intended to provoke individuals to violence against the nation’s First Gentleman.

The judge stated that what he said “may have major security ramifications as it put the President in danger.”
