Premier league team Manchester United are willing to splash an amount of £60 million for Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

The follows the departure of their forward Antony Martial.

According to The Mirror, Erik ten Hag’s team is keeping an eye on Kudus in addition to Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha as their top target.

Kudus had a great Premier League debut season despite only joining West Ham United from Ajax Amsterdam a year ago.

The Ghanaian international scored 14 goals and provided six assists for the Hammers, who placed ninth in the Premier League and advanced to the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals, at the conclusion of his rookie campaign.

Kudus had previously worked with Ten Hag at Ajax, so it was suggested that Manchester United was among the teams interested in signing him before he signed with West Ham.

But in the end, the Red Devils selected Antony, despite the Brazilian’s inability to deliver reliable performances thus far.

Kudus, who cost £38 million when he was signed by West Ham, will not be cheap because he still has four years left on his current deal.

When it comes to selling their assets, the Hammers are renowned for being tough negotiators. Last year, they forced Arsenal to pay the full £105 million before allowing former captain Declan Rice to sign with the Gunners.
