Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Nana Yaw Boakye who is widely known in showbiz as MOG Music has recounted how he almost gave up on music.
He claimed that after encountering numerous obstacles, he considered giving up music, and he disclosed this in a recent interview with Cookie Tee on TV3 Newday.
He stated in his submission;
“I was prepared to quit. I was exhausted. I truly believed that I had shared everything and that was it. I felt helpless in the situation. My entire being was vanished. Human instincts reacted at that point and simply advised me to give up.
MOG music said that, before he rose to fame, he received prophesies about how his music will influence different countries. And what a disappointment it was when these forecasts didn’t come true.

“God has called me into ministry, and I’ve heard predictions to that effect, so it was really upsetting when it didn’t materialize. Why is God revealing things to other people while I’m not experiencing it, I wonder at times.
In spite of all the difficulties, he continued, his church and friends urged him to maintain his faith.
“My church was the cornerstone that supported me during my worst hours. For me, there was my pastor. I must be truthful.
He provided me with a platform and a network of supporters to lean on when I was at my weakest until I was strong enough to stand up for myself and complete tasks on my own. I must really give my pastor credit for that, he said.
Speaking on his concert dubbed ‘Koinonia’, sixth edition of ‘New Wine Concert’, MOG Music said three-time Grammy award winner and gospel musician, Donnie McClurkin, has been billed to perform at the concert.
