Just a few days after their son Ifeanyi tragically drowned in their home’s swimming pool, superstar Afrobeat artist Davido reportedly wed his fiancee, Chioma Rowland, in a traditional ceremony.
According to rumors, the singer wed the chef a week after their son passed away to cement their relationship.
A few friends and family members were reportedly there as Davido made the marriage arrangements at his father’s home.

At the wedding reception, which was hosted in his father’s enormous Banana Island house, apparently no photographs were permitted.
Kemi Olunloyo, a renowned investigative journalist from Nigeria, tweeted her controversial opinions regarding the relationship between Davido and Chioma after the reports went viral.
She claimed that Davido wed Chioma in order to obtain his son’s dead body.
This is in accordance with the norms and Traditions of Igbo country that a child belongs to the father only if the marriage rites, bride price has been paid.

Kemi Olunloyo said that in accordance with this tradition, Davido had to pay Chioma’s bride price in order to obtain his son’s body; else, the Rowlands would have to bury Ifeanyi.
