Chef Smith announced as the official GWR holder for the longest cook-a-thon

On March 6, Chef Smith of Ghana called it quits on his attempt to set a new Guinness World Record in cooking, having completed 820 hours.

He has been certified as the new world cook-a-thon record holder by the Guinness decision-making organisation.

The chef thanked Ghanaians and announced his significant achievement at a press conference held in Accra.

Chef Smith stated during the press conference that his attempt was timed at 802 hours, 25 minutes, and 6 seconds, according to the Guinness World Record.

At the Accra press conference, he displayed the certificate he was given for reaching a new milestone.

In order to support his attempt, Chef Smith stood on his feet for 35 days before being hurried to the hospital.

A lot of Ghanaians were surprised by Chef Smith’s cook-a-thon achievement, especially after Chef Faila’s disastrous attempt.
