Badmus not arrested, Ifeanyi autopsy reveals drowning

A source close to Eniola Badmus has denied rumors that she was detained in connection with the killing of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Davido and Chioma Rowland.

The late child’s nanny, who is in detention, reportedly said that Badmus diverted her from watching the boy before he drowned.

The source told Sunday Scoop that Badmus was not detained and had no relationship with the nanny.

Eniola wasn’t arrested, the source said. She’s at home, and cops say she wasn’t detained. She’s eating as I speak. She hasn’t even met Ifeanyi’s babysitter. It’s free speech. Davido is in a sorrowful, grieving moment.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command’s PR officer, verified Badmus’ release.

He said, “That story (about Badmus’ arrest) is incorrect. Two suspects remain. Completed autopsy Ifeanyi drowned, an autopsy confirmed.

“I don’t want to preemptively charge the two main suspects,” he said. Still investigating.”
